Motivation metrics

Interview Sprint gamifies progress toward readiness — not streak theatre. Three numbers appear in the workspace for different jobs. They never fold into one score.

Prep XP

Prep XP records effort. Finishing planned work (and some mock-hub runs) awards Prep XP through the same progress ledger other WinJob features use. The award is idempotent: completing the same task twice does not mint XP twice.

Prep XP does not raise Preparation Readiness. It is participation feedback only.

Preparation Readiness

Readiness is still evidence only. Reading, quizzes, recall, timed designs, evaluator runs, mocks and real-interview debriefs write provenance-weighted evidence. See Readiness score.

Celebrations after a mission may show how readiness moved, but XP and Momentum never write that score.

Momentum

Momentum is plan adherence over a rolling window: building, steady, strong or recovering. It is not a “streak you broke.”

  • Rest days, planned blackouts and reschedules do not hurt Momentum.
  • Missing critical planned work consumes the Momentum buffer.
  • Mission Control shows buffer dots and a calm state label, never shame copy.

Mission buckets

Today’s tasks split into three intentional columns:

BucketIntent
CriticalHighest-value evidence thread (mocks, designs, evaluator, gap-critical work)
GrowthRepairs, drills, follow-ups that close moderate gaps
RecallSpaced review and decay refresh

One primary CTA — Start Critical Mission — keeps the day from becoming eight equal checkboxes.
