Interview Research
Interview Research is the sibling of Interview Sprint. You name a company (and optionally a role, level, interview type, and job description). WinJob reads the company's public engineering footprint — blogs, docs, careers, and related sources — and builds a citation-backed brief you can revisit.
The workspace lives at /app/research.
What you get
| Surface | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Engineering DNA | Recurring engineering themes with evidence strength |
| Signal Constellation | Themes sized by evidence and freshness |
| Architecture Signals / Systems Atlas | Patterns and named systems grounded in sources |
| Timeline | Public engineering pulse and silence gaps |
| Role Relevance / Nuggets / Prep Translation | What matters for your role — not a question bank |
| Research Trail | Real pipeline steps (no fake “agents thinking” theater) |
| Ask Research AI | Corpus-grounded answers with citations |
| Add to Sprint | Turn findings into Sprint practice without inventing questions |
Reports are 10 steps × 10 widgets (100 widgets), persisted so you can reopen the same brief later.
Access and credits
| Tier | Included research runs / month |
|---|---|
| Free | Not entitled (upgrade) |
| Pro | 0 included — setup UI is visible; execute needs 1000 purchased credits (credit pack CTA sits above upgrade) |
| AI | 5 |
| Bundle | 20 |
| Interview Sprint | 50 |
Each run beyond included quota (and every Pro execute) spends 1000 credits. Default AI tools still cost 50 credits; Research is priced separately.
Honesty rules
Interview Research never treats a blog topic as a predicted interview question.
- Claims are source-linked. High-impact claims without a citation do not ship as facts.
- Discussion prompts and prep suggestions are for practice — not predictions of what an interviewer will ask.
- Weak footprint banners appear when public evidence is thin; confidence stays High / Medium / Exploratory (no fake percentages).
Sprint still owns dated plans and readiness. Research feeds Sprint via Add to Sprint and related actions; it does not replace Mock Hub, Motivation, or the four courses.
Getting started
- Skim the public story on
/interview-research, then open Research in the app (/app/research), or enter from a Sprint interview target, Interview Intel, or a company page. - Fill setup: company (required), optional URL, role, level, interview type, lookback, sources, and mode (Brief Me / Deep Research / Explore a Topic).
- Submit Build my research brief. Watch the Research Trail while the pipeline runs, then explore DNA, nuggets, and Ask Research AI.
